I’m Abby Cabrera, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Information Systems.

Art and design has been a major part of my life since I was a kid. As I grew older, I learned to appreciate art not only for its beauty, but for the meaning it can have to the artist and audience. In high school, my art became so much more than just a hobby but also a way to express myself and dig deep into my thoughts and feelings. Eventually, my interest in art and design extended past myself and towards creating for other people.

I became interested in design and UI/UX in particular because it uses purposeful, creative decisions to make a beautiful product driven by empathy. While I still love creating for myself, I found so much purpose in being able to create something to empower someone else.
